Transliteration: Allahumma inni ‘abduka ibnu ‘abdika ibnu amatika, nasiyati biyadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, ‘adlun fiyya qadauka. As’aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitabika aw ‘allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw ista’tharta bihi fi ‘ilm al-ghaybi ‘indak, an taj’al al-Qur’an rabi’a qalbi wa nura sadri wa jala’ huzni wa dhahaba hammi.
Meaning in English: O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is forever executed, and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every Name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself with, revealed in Your Book, taught to any of Your creation, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my distress.
